Ahh, Blondie was good. I'm the world's biggest pussy when it comes to mid-day summer concerts so we ended up being away from the crowd and in the shade, but Debbie Harry's day-glo green stood out even from a distance. I'd actually seen Blondie before (in Boston) where they did this great song (unlike at Bumbershoot):



Bumbershoot, in general, was actually pretty good. That's probably quite standard, really, but I don't always love the massive crowds, you know. I even found a way to conquer the warm weather. Standing at the base of the International Fountain soaked me for the day, but it was well worth it.

Please do make sure that MANY photos are taken in NYC! (I say greedily...)

Here is a list of good affordable motorcycles within a short drive of your location. They're all middleweights from the 80s: Not too heavy, plenty of power but not too much power, and they're of the vintage when they were made reliable with things like electronic ignition, but not so modern as to be difficult to work on (no fuel injection or computers), plus parts are cheap and easy to find and insurance is uber cheap! I pay $75 a year!

Pretty advanced for it's day: water cooled, shaft driven (no chain to adjust), 6-speed transmission, 3 valves per cylinder. This engine was also offered in the Honda Ascot 500, which was favored by London couriers who often put half a million hard miles on them with few problems.

What's that? You say you don't know how to ride a motorcycle? Don't let that stop you! These people will teach you how to ride the correct way. You get a day of classroom instruction, then a day putting around in a parking lot on a small (like 250cc) motorcycle that they provide.

Ahh, rainy days are the best. I just find it funny that everyone avoids rain like it's the plague, yet we shower and drink water and our bodies are primar---you get what I'm saying.

Yes, they do great commercials. I worked for that company about 4 years (film & commercials/video clips). A commercial like that takes about 6 weeks in total (if it's planned well). A lot of those are not seen in the US because the UK and Australia have a slightly different humor and very often things get banned in the US (because somebody is suing somebody about something). E.g. this commercial was banned in the US within two weeks because young ladies might jump over high speed trains. Most likely the artist who designed the train (H.R. Giger) isn't that welcome here but who knows

Berlin? Yes, it's a great city. I miss it a lot. I studied there computer science and worked for a couple of years. When the wall came down all those things happened in the town and every day it changed it's face (or facade). Today you wouldn't know where East and West Berlin started or ended.

miami vice was classic michael mann. good story leading up to a good climax. nothing id watch again , it was no heat thats for sure. very stylish though. worth checking out on video.

School starts in two weeks, so I will be keeping busier than any human should (between work, my small human and studying) - so, maybe this is actually a good thing...I am so trying to think positive..Trader Joe's has ginger gelato - that helped last night...As did the box of Reese's cookies...

Oh go rent "Dont Move"!!!!!!! It stars Penelope Cruz and I believe Alfred Molina. He plays a doctor who abuses Penelopes character which is a prostitute then they begin a love affair of sorts. She wears these horrible prosthetic teeth and looks real bad. It is a Spainish movie, made in Spain and only sub titles are offered on the American distributed DVD. I cant wait to watch it tonight. Go see it!

Sounds like a movie to check out. I watched a good bit of the 30 Days marathon on FX yesterday. First time i've watched it before. I'm going to go rent Super-Size Me when I get a chance. The one episode of 30 Days was extra special to watch cause they came to Columbus to see if they could live off of minimum wage.
