I've just recently formed a new habit, and I'm pretty thrilled with it, so since the blog homework regarding habits came up, I've the opportunity to share thanks to @missy and @rambo.
I am the proud owner of a Bullet Journal. If you don't know what this is, check out the site: http://bulletjournal.com/ In essence, it's a calendar, to-do list, and notebook for ideas all in one. It's a FANTASTIC way to get organized, and stay on top of your shit. The pictures are of my January from this year.
The habit is simple: track everything. I want to know when I'm making it to the gym, when I'm drinking enough water, when I'm getting enough sex, etc. As well as track my day to day things, like work projects, laundry, etc. And simply be more organized.
To start my habit off right, I bought myself a nice Moleskin notebook, and a set of pretty pens. (I love color!) Then, I spent about a half a day setting it up. Getting a style I liked so it felt more me than just words on a page, and setting up the essentials: the index, future logs, january's month view, as well as adding in a weight loss tracker, and a year at a glance page.
And I make sure it's the first thing I look at when I get to work, and that I re-visit it each evening to make sure to track my shit. And frankly, keeping organized has ceased to be a chore, and become a joy instead. Anyone else have a Bullet Journal? I'd love to see others' spreads!
