So today is definitely one of those days where I did too much at work and I'm hurting real bad. And until my doctor appointment this Friday, all I have to rely on is Advil to help with the pain (nothing truly takes it away, but at least with Advil/Tylenol I can take more every 6 hours and not have to wait 8 or 12 like with other meds; and yes, if it's OTC I have tried them all to see if any help and none truly do).
At times like these, I have people who don't want to see me hurting and they always tell me I need weed to truly feel better; while I do have CBD gummies that I take on work nights to help me go to sleep, in all my 48 years I've never consumed anything with THC, and I honestly have no desire to.
It's not that I think pot is "evil" (I don't), and it's not that I somehow think not taking anything with THC is "noble" or makes me "better" than others (I don't); I know myself I have control issues, and I can barely handle being drunk (it's now been over 8 months since I've had a drink), and I have no desire to try something that I really don't know how I'll react to it.
Unless it gets so bad that I need to be high to distract myself from living with the pain, I don't see that changing. Like I said, I'm 48 and I have opportunities to try it before (even before it was legalized here in Nevada), and I've turned them all down. I just don't see the need to be high, and that's OK :)
