I'm writing my cover letter, I'm going over my synopsis, my 'first five pages', I'm reviewing my list of names picked so carefully. Putting it all into envelopes, stamping and sending off. It's a little bit like wrapping christmas presents for yourself, only there's so much more riding on this.

People, I'm going to get an agent. Honest. I hope.

My mentor says nothing gets published without an agent these days. I'm not quite to that stage yet, but it's inevitable.
