I'm really close to finishing the first and a half draft of my novel. It'll probably happen today, if I keep at it. It's been slow at work, and I'm just working on the book for a while. I'm a longhand writer, so the handwritten manuscript constitutes the first draft. That was done two months ago, the first and a half draft is that longhand ms transcribed into electronic form. I do a lot of editting as I go, adding stuff and whatever, but it's mostly just copying. When I finish this I'll clear my palate with a short story, and then do a read through of the novel. So, yay.

I stayed here with a friend for about 6 months and then moved to Austin, where I lived off my severance and unemployment until it ran out.
I applied for jobs all over the country, and what's the only one that came through? Back in this hellhole.
One of these days I'll escape again.
Good luck on the editing. I'm currently in editing-mode with one of my scripts. Joy. Editing hurts my brain.
