Snow's not as bad as you think. However, I don't know what you drive, but don't think that AWD or 4x4 will save you all the time during winter. They don't do so well on ice so remember that. Other than that its the Midwest get prepared for drinking and drinking and drinking some more because there's nothing else to do. At least that's how it is here. I've only heard stories about Iowa. I drove through it once, though. I got bored of corn half way through and had sleep it off for an hour. Hunting might be nice out that way or even just doing target practice. It seems like that kind of state.

Eh, just get some decent snow tires. You'll be alright. Front wheel isn't that bad. I drive a Mazdaspeed3 on 18's here but then again I'm used to it. I would prefer to have rear wheel drive because I love the winter with rear wheel. WAY MORE FUN! But yea, it'll be beer thirty pretty consistently there. I live in a city here that's decently sized and its all there is to do. It's actually why I'm enlisting. I can't sit here and do the same shit over and over.
