I just received in the mail my confirmation to the NHMRO (New Hampshire Motorcycle Rights Organization). This is a non prophet group that bands together avid motorcycle riders in NH and lobby's to keep the motorcycle laws fair and safe for all. Example of that would be the option to wear a helmet; Granted I do cause Im not into having bugs in my teeth or being retarded if i fall off the bike and crack my head.
Another great thing that this group does: I found out when i took the NH State riders course that the course would typically cost upwards of $350 (regardless, i would have taken it, but not sure if others would due to the high cost). But us NH residents only end up paying a mere $110. That gives us a small 250cc bike, a helmet and 3 days of learning how to ride properly. NHMRO donates the rest of the money to ensure all new riders are learn how to ride properly and safely.
Ok...enough about the safety and all that commercial jargon...
I did some research and found that to join only costs $15 per year and you get discounts and other great benefits.
There is a toy charity ride coming up (sept. 9th) in which you strap a new toy to your bike, meet up in Concord NH, and Ride to Manchester NH with free roam (police bock off paths and intersections for us!). I will be doing this (weather permitting) and am looking for any other riders interested in joining me. As many of you know, I am still looking for people to meet up and go riding.....I love riding by myself, but id like to learn some new back roads, or take a long trip up to the mountains.
Take care all!
