Hey so Friday was fun if not utter mayhem and excess. Which is good, because i don't exceed nearly enough these days. Good meets with Autumn, Helter, Skinandbones as well as seeing the rest of the usual crew. Tripping back to the avenue B bar scene is interesting as its my old skool scene, and i did get to say hey to some of the barstaff i used to know. We all ended back at Luna's as usual, where after a messy MESSY attempt at playing some records on an unfamiliar mixer, I spent at least another hour chattering away with Freya in the wee hours until Luna kicked us all out - i think it was just Minimalism, Helter and I left at that point anyway.

And on Saturday he rested.

Sunday was chores, but i did go out to eat with a friend and went to see "Laurel Canyon" which I really liked despite the fact that about half the characters in the movie were boring and went nowhere. Francis McDormand and the guy who plays her rockstar boyfriend carry that movie, along with maybe a brief shot of Kate Beckinsdale's abs and Natascha McElhone's cheekbones. It did manage to make L.A. kind of attractive, and I'm just beginning to think that maybe it would be a good place to while away my late 30s (jesus, yeah Im that old already).

Just turned on KEXP and hit a Buffalo Tom song i used to really like a long fucking time ago. I need to go back and listen to some of my old cds soon...
