OK after a shit weekend and tweakiness all around, today was a GOOD day! Yes folks.
Haven't heard back from Mario yet, but a buddy of mine who used to work over there called to find out what the heck is going on. He talked to his friend, who is the hiring manager and the dude hasn't gotten around to making selects yet, but my friend was cool enough to chat me up a bit in a real nice way. I do believe and hope Ill be getting a call back soon then. I mean with a recommend from within and now another from without, they at least have to talk to me more right? Right?
Also, miracle of miracles, we started on an XBox conversion of my Tom and Jerry PS2 game - and the devs are bumping it up to handle four players fighting against each other. Now this could be fun eh? I especially love it as since we are working with "The Borg" (hey, they all use it themselves before I ever did!), I am getting care packages full of XBox goodies - Live starter kits, games, mmm.
^Too bad I won't have time to play all that shite most likely anytime soon as there is some consulting work on the horizon - doing a game treatment for someone I've known for a few years. Great idea, they have money, some celebrity involvement and its sort of the type of idea that may appeal to the Take Two/Rockstar folk (hey, wait! i know them!). That aside, I'm just looking forward to writing the high concept treatment - the type of thing I'm best at in my opinion.
Saw "Finding Nemo" tonight - cool movie, despite the family readiness of it all. They are still doing impressive stuff at Pixar and it looks like their next movie will be superheroes!
