i really don't read very much lately, busy with school work mostly. one of the last books i read was plain clothes naked by the author of permanent midnight. weird, weird book. not sci fi though. i need to read more often.

Take anything and turn it into a title assuming it'll move just because it's got the name recognition. To me, the best stuff has always been about the gameplay, and the story. Besides, why give the Seuss estate part of the profits when you've already come up with everything you need for a quality title? Work hard, come up with something great, then keep all the money.

Go to that school, talk to some of the teachers about what they're trying to do. They can tell you exactly what your software needs to do. You can think of a way to make that entertaining. License it or be original. Succeed here, get their endorsement/credibility, and you're in. The key to *big* success in that space is to get it licensed to the schools at a significant discount. Parents will then follow suit and buy the retail version. In fact, you probably could escape the slotting fees most big chains charge if parents are asking for the title by name. Worked for Carmen, worked for Oregon Trail series, and dozens of other smaller successes.
