i love the smell that comes just before the storm
watching the moon play hide and seek with the clouds
smoking and thinking
drinking and longing
some moments are meant to last forever
some are meant to never have been
i could really go for a very big fire
then i could watch the shadows grow and fade away while the flames dance
watch the reds, yellows, blues and whites of the flames tease each other
watch the smoke crawl into the darkened sky as the smell of it all engulfs me and takes me into that place where no one would dare look
why must i sleep tonight
