Short blog today, mostly because of exhaustion.
Just a couple things. I think I'm going to quit my job. I think I'm going to go to school in the fall. I think things need to change around here.

So I just won $5 from a lottery ticket I bought on a whim. Maybe I should take that as a good omen.

I tried to write a blog or two a few times since my last one, but they all felt kind of detached. Right now I'm feeling pretty good about things. Everything is going pretty well musically speaking, I'd say. I'm slowly but...

I am a Black Fridayer.
It can be fun! You just have to go in knowing there will be crowds and setting your expectations as such.
But it people are normally pretty friendly.

Good Luck!

Thanks, we're doing well! We actually won $6 this last week in Power Ball, which we rarely ever do smile Definitely a good omen! Hope the good luck continues! Can't wait to see the new piercing...post pictures when it happens! Have a wonderful week!

Hello all. I promise I'm in a better mood than before...well, sort of. It was a pretty hard night at work and I got out 20 minutes past normal clock out time. But ah well.

There was a brief period where I thought my hours were about to be cut majorly, but everything is fine. I even got my schedule moved around a bit, so...

Sarah is quite cool, that's for sure! I don't know her that personally either.. I met her when she booked my last band on Warped Tour. She helped us out big time, so i support the hell out of what ever she does!

Well thanks for letting us know hope everything with work is awesome with you.

It's been a sort of odd week. Last night I called out of work for the first time. I really feel bad about it, because I'm pretty sure they were short because of it. However, the reason I called out was what I call severe exhaustion. I'm not really sure what the name for it is, but I was worn out beyond belief. At the...

The show last night was unbelievably great. I'm so happy that I finally got to see Between The Buried And Me live. I'm also extremely glad that I got to see the other two bands on tour with them, Tesseract and Animals As Leaders. I'd not really heard Tesseract's music before, but I was very impressed. I'll definitely be purchasing their CD's soon enough. Animals...

Just hang out and do your thing. Don't over-think it and just have fun. That's what this site is all about! We'll be seeing you around!
johnnysniper:
Thanks! Yeah I'm looking forward to getting the exam over and done with, then I can mooch around and be lazy for 3 1/2 months biggrin (seriously, anyone who ever complains about being a student doesn't know what the real world has in store for them)

A short blog today.

Tonight I will finally see Between The Buried And Me live in concert, after several long years of waiting.

I don't even think I was this excited to lose my virginity.

Instead of a semi-organized, well thought out, structured blog post, I'm just going to provide you all with some thoughts of mine.

Thoughts:

  • I really enjoyed my time off.

  • I really can't stand the day shift, because they leave a fucking mess behind for me every single day.

  • I feel like if I stop trying to make it look like I'm not a creepy girl...

I read that statistically, people are more likely to read a blog that's broken down into list chunks like that than one that's made out of proper paragrapgs like an article. But I read that in some spam that got sent to my website that wanted me to buy its wordpress plugin, so it should probably be taken with a grain of salt...

Either way, I enjoy reading things in list form. And I agree with several things in yours, especially about morning teas and Rambo being cute.

What sort of area of offstage music would you want to get into? Like production/engineering sort of stuff?
johnnysniper:
Fair enough. Being a tour manager would be hard work, but man I bet it'd be fun

Well, after almost a week straight of working in my new position as Night Merchandiser, I finally get a break from work. A three day break to be exact. I'm so ready for these days off. I am exhausted. Don't get me wrong though, I love my job! The pay is great, and I've gotten the hang of things pretty quickly. Now, I think...

The funny thing that I've come to realize is that sometimes when something or someone makes something look easy...well it usually isn't. Glad you like your job. Its much better than going to a job you hate. Makes time go so much faster.
Good luck with the music you have sooooo much time to do that if you love why the hell not. smile
comic_guy:
Saw your introductory post in the Suicide Survivors group.

I'm glad things are getting better for you. It's tough out there. I've found that positive affirmations work well.

Good to see you on board man! Enjoy!

A little about my life as a musician.

I started playing percussion in the sixth grade, for the school band. As a part of that, I learned how to play xylophones and marimbas, which led me to attempt learning to play the piano (still a work in progress.) Around the time I was in the tenth grade, I began learning how to play guitar, mostly...

A short blog today. This is a poem I wrote in honor of a select group of people I feel a lot of affection for.

Ahem.

English girls. Come to me.
Let me love you. All of you.

I hope you enjoyed this poem as much as I did.

PS.
Just give me all the English girls.

(Thanks for reading!)

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome. I feel a bit at home already! Spoiler alert, this blog gets boring. Even I yawned reading it over.

Before I continue on, I kind of want to make something very clear to anyone who may read this/become friends with me along the way. I am not here to try to mack on a bunch of...
