Alright. Now I'll write a proper entry.

I bought a polaroid camera from a drug store for only $9.99. And it came with a mail-in rebate for $30. (I should follow up on that) The film is quite expensive (albeit worth it) and I've heard that polaroid will be discontinuing this type of film soon. I suppose it will be fun while it lasts and I could always look into the new polaroid pogo....it's just so much less appealing to me as far as how the tangible photos look.
I had a good long fight with the boy on Sunday night and Monday morning before he took off to D.C. I was out of line (regardless of whether or not I was correct). In retrospect it's all a bit funny.
him: "you're rediculous."
me: "you're counter-revolutionary!"
and so on.

I'm going to join a roller derby league. I went to the first practice tonight and fell in love with the idea of it.... and the feeling of skating. At first I was afraid I might totally wreck myself but it seems like there are more people close to my height and weight than I thought. Plus, I'm pretty tough and I could use the physical release.

I'm also in an original musical called "Queen Esther of Persia." It's being held at a synagogue in my area and while I'm entirely unreligious I've been having a nice time. I'm playing Queen Vashti...a small but fun part, I get the first song and dance...I'll also be designing and creating the costumes for the cast. I'm looking forward to watching this production take form. We have about a month.

I'd really love to make a new set but I've been having a difficult time finding a photographer. I want to shoot outside also, but it's effin' cold. I have some great new props and ideas... hopefully something will workout soon, god knows I'll need the cash when I break my legs roller skating. kiss

greybeard:
Polaroid has discontinued making their instant film, what you see is remaining stock on the shelves. FujiFilm has bought the production rights, so you will still find it at specialty and professional photography stores. If you are still in Los Angeles, check out Freestyle Photo. It's on Sunset Boulevard just west of Normandie Avenue.
