funny you should ask. i went empty handed. me and my brother both did, and our mom always fills in our empty spots with gifts she bought, so as we were exchanging gifts we were rolling our eyes and laughing, "gee thanks. i know you put a lot of thought into it...." so oh well. it worked out.
