I'm harvesting fragments of various things for my Halloween costume. Since I'll be working all Saturday evening (paw), I'll have to be fairly mobile. So no helpless love-prisoners, unfortunately.
I've been a COMPLETE gimp about reading this break. This damn Murakami book is looking at me with sad, wide, anthropomorphic eyes...
I attended RESFEST here in PDX last night for the first evening of film shorts, and they're fucking amazing. I highly recommend this one that was this haunting reinterpretation of a few moments of Rashomon, with an incredible soundtrack. And also... just SO MUCH TRAGIC CUTENESS. Not the least of which entailed an epic re-telling of Oedipus, but with vegetables in lieu of tragic humans. Now, if they'd only do that with Agammemnon, that'd be BADASS.
Negativland is one of the MOST BRILLIANT groups ever.

and the spirit was a comic he did for newspapers in the 40's, it was amazing and super influential on a lot of modern stuff.
