Good grief! Am I tired.

I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about my new profile pic. I know you peoples will LOVE the set it's from, though. Yupyupyup.

So, tonight was the WONDERFUL beginning of the SG Burlesque Tour! The first night was here in San Francisco, and it was completely sold out. Particularly due to the size of the building (Great American Music Hall), I found that pretty damn awesome.

I went with Neko and her friend to the SGSF pre-show drinks at the Ha-Ra before heading down. It was great to meet a lot of the girls and members... and my head is still fuzzy so I can't name everyone, but, dammit, I was glad to meet you all! *conviction here*

I liked the first band, but not the second one very music. A little too post-Strokes (not Strokes wannabes, but post!) for my tastes.

As for the show itself... the entire time, during the PURE, CONCENTRATED SEXINESS that is watching these girls perform, I just kept feeling these insane swells of happiness that they'd worked so hard to get this show together (especially Siren!) and that they were doing it... I don't want to give away all of the wonderful surprises but there was an amazing bit with Stormy and Snow that I absolutely adored.

I'm glad I'm also attending the Portland show, which is the final performance. It'll be nice to compare these book-ends...

Hrrrm... Tigerlily was great company and I'm glad Thora could make it, even though we just sat around munching down HORRIBLE food before the show ... thanks to Jade for giving me a ride home... damn, I can't remember everyone at the moment, as I've been up for quite a while...

And now to finish the Diamond Age. I have like 10 pages left. Oooh, climactic! I'm glad Stephenson arranges his books in easy-to-digest snippets. It's as if his writing is a simulacra of the digital attention span...

There's this HORRIBLY outdated quote on the back of the book, something like "Neal Stephenson is the Quentin Tarantino of postcyberpunk science fiction." Jesus, how mid-90's can you get, Village Voice? Ai...

Meeting up w/ my friend Josh from school tomorrow. I think we're going to the Maritime Museum or something. Because we're that fucking cool.

And then to Portland!
