Hmm. I've certainly had an eventful past few days... Thursday, Ryan and I went to Pirate Thursdays and hung out with all of the SGPDXers... lots of fun! You guys are radolio. Then we headed over to a First Thursday Gallery party, where we met up with Pearl and Stormy and mobprod; unfortunately we were too exhausted by that time to stay too long, and I went back home to bop aruond to Muslimgauze. (Merrily!)
Friday I went to Marrakesh, a Moroccan restraunt in NW with bellydancers and five courses of tasty, indulgent awesome! Very texturally pleasing! Hung out and had a very nice mellow time... sleep is rad.
Saturday night was a dance. Al and Flux were gorgeous. Yum. The boy & myself were walking toward the dance when we got sidelined by the prospect of research chemical fun. Needless to say, much hilarity ensued.
At this point I cannot even begin to describe this experience because, really, the psychedelic shift of thought processes negates any articulations. And I don't know what I could say was the most pleasing... although the information transfer via fluid was pretty damn awesome. (Thanks, Grant Morrison. Your apocalyptic vision has saturated my hallucinogenic consciousness!)
Actually the best parts all involved the idea of connecting with someone on a purely non-verbal plane of communication (I hesitate to use the word 'existence', which has too many connotations for me to delve into a tthis time). But -- there was definitely a point when I felt so archetypally brilliant, so much the embodiment of his desires that I could perfectly envision myself as completely encompassing the primal fulfillment of the need for an object of desire.
"...was it just me, or were we the same person for a while?"
"No, we were."
"Good. Glad that wasn't my imagination."
Dead brilliant, man. Every day I'm sublimely satisfied with what I have.
(Valis was awesome. I made a bracelet that says, simply, 'Empire'. As I said when I first wore it, 'It's amazing and signifies NOTHING but connotes everything!' [the most typical inital reaction is Star Wars. Heh.])
Anyway. Dances! I looked very lovely and wore awesome stockings. I enjoy the idea of buying several pairs of them. Yum.
