Apparently the new camera that we got does not have a way to lower the size (kb's), any lower than 300kb, is there some way i can do this otherwise?

there should be an option in the photo editing software. otherwise, you might want to invest in photoshop.

you can reduce the physical size and the resolution.
image > image size
in there you can specify how large you want it. if you're just putting something up on the web, a resolution of 72 pixles per inch is fine because that's what the resolution of monitors is.
you can also use the save for web feature, which is really nice.
go to file > save for web and a window pops up showing you different versions of what you have and you pic whichever one looks best and save it.
