Friends should be supportive of each other...focus on the wonderful parts about each other and encourage happiness. Especially in the face of such overwhelming explanations that something has a positive impact on someone's life. Friends are there to support one another.
It unfortunate that you had to go through that experience, but a friend that cannot see the weight of a friendship versus a personal choice to surf a website...is not intelligent or compassionate enough to understand the quality of your friendship.

I did see House. Sixsixty and I watched it last night. We're both excited to see more of 13's story He wants Huddy to get it on, but I'm of the camp that "they can never really be" and the cat and mouse is much better. The whole desk/actress is a pretty god cat-game set-up. I saw someone vent about the latest season and the most recent episode and I agree, but with different characters. I find myself caring less about Cameron and Chase and find the attempt to maintain a cohesive backstory is mediocre at best. "I made a drawer for you. Yawn." I'm happy that the new cast has breathed new life and new story lines allowing the show to branch out. But, I'm hoping that there is more growth in House/Wilson's relationship...there was so much in the last season finale that, really, is yet to be addressed.

OMG!!! My dad's cancer, that was supposed to be untreatable has gone dormant!!! His PSA went from 1700 to under 200, and he's gained back all the weight he had lost and so far so good, and I am crying tears of Overjoy!!!
