Hi sweethearts! I must wish you all wonderful holidays, whether or not you plan on celebrating them.
Christmas this year at the schoolgirl household is bittersweet this year. Christmas happens to fall on a weekend that my exhusband has visitation so I will not see her. That is the bitter part. The sweet part is this:
We have presents this year!!! Last year, I lost my job in November. My exhusband refused to work and try to help our family out. (like he didn't do enough damage) Needless to say, there were no presents for our family. What a horrible feeling to not give gifts because you lost your job. I did manage to buy one present for my daughter and make her another. I bought a tiny Ramones shirt and I made her a quilt. I guess that was the best thing I could have done cause she loves the tshirt still and she carries that blanket all the time.
This year I am grateful to have a wonderful job and I managed to make ends meet as a single mommy. I didn't do anything for 3 months and saved up enough to buy presents for my mom, dad, and brother and his fiance. I kinda went crazy getting cool stuff for my daughter. I just want her to have some fun and know I love her. To make up for missing her on christmas, we are celebrating with my family on Christmas Eve. We will have fun no matter what. yay!
Under that tree is a Princess castle, Absolut bottle, tea set, kick ass tool box, dvds, spongebob dinner set, jewelry, Dora the explorer winter coat, wiggles videos, gift certificates, kung fu movies, books, to name a few things I can remember. and my personal favorite is for my daughter: Potty Elmo. My daughter has begun potty training and loves elmo. He says, "oops, Elmo didn't make it to the potty! accidents happen!" and "Hooray! you can do it too!" hilarious.
Sooooo.....you wanna know what I got for myself? I got the geekiest tattoo ever:
This ^^^ is a caffeine molecule. I live on coffee and chocolate and I am a nerdy scientist for a living, so super appropriate. The artist took my picture and showed all the customers my back. I so love it!!!
Ok, gotta get back to cleaning up the place. So lotsa love and smiles and rainbows. hope your holidays go super happy and I hope you get some....presents....yeah....

It's wonderful to hear about your daughter and you having such an exciting holiday, despite her having to spend it with your ex. Also, your tattoo is indeed the geekiest tattoo of them all.
