It just amazes me how some of the employees at the VA treat the patients like crap. I am more than familiar with the feeling of wanting to throttle another asshole patient who is just using you for your script pad... but honestly... the vast majority of those old dudes are just so cool and grateful for the care I provide -- and people who have been through what they have and seen what they have just amaze me by getting up every day -- much less being pleasant and thankful and conversational. Love them! There really is no more selfless deed than being in the military. I can't say I could do it.

Tomorrow is my last day there though, and then I'm off to a private outpatient internal medicine clinic, which I'm sure will be torture, every second. I hate the clinic, and I don't have the patience to listen to the average person drone on about these stupid little pains or whatever. Your knees hurt? You're three hundred pounds!!! Take some responsibility! And who ever said that life was painless..?

Oh well.... this is why I can't go into clinical medicine!

As an aside, kind of had it out with Forgets To Call Boy. I'm sure he thinks I'm being a whiny girl, but fuck him, it's a matter of respect to do something after you say you're going to. I guess no decisions have to be made immediately... I can just continue to sit on it and be amazed at what other crap he can come up with that I'll take!
