Agnes and Me:
Yes boys and girls its that time again. Another post about my car and me. Well Agnes being the beautiful 87 chevy celebrity that she is (cause im a star) has decided that she has worked too damn hard and that i have not given her enough propper attention and decided to quit on me. Poor agy. This time it being her power steering pump that decided to fail. So once again i find myself doing an organ transplant on her. And unlike the last organ that was sucessfully replaced her fine sturdy self. She's trying like hell to reject this one! The pump is in, but its the pipe leading to the pump that is cracked and the replacement we used is not cooperating. This is day four of lets fix agnes. And well all day yesterday working on it was entertaining to say the least. By 11 a.m I had broke one nail, and broken two toes. The car jack and i had a fight and it won, leaving my poor toes swollen and in pain. But me being the ever so determined girl that i am had not given up hope. With the help of my trusty sidekick a.k.a dad, we proceeded to work on organ replacement. And behold by noon we thought we had her up and running. So starting her up and very easily backing her up and then forward and slowly turning the wheel we thought we had sucessfully performed surgery once more. Then with a turn of the wheel a large "pop" errupted from the hood which was still up, and power steering fluid went everywhere. This is when we realized that the replacement hose could not handle the pressure. So we tried once more, and again she blew. Well after the fourth time of removing the pump, and tweeking the hose, we thought we had finally won. Sure there was power steering fluid all over the parking lot, but hey we thought we had won. Cant help some blood loss in the process. (poor agy) Well as i turned the wheel one way and back, and a sigh of relief and the thought of going home now at 4:30 pm seemed quite nice. Then a turn to the left and pop, yup it blew again. It looks as of this point like a masacre occured in my work parking lot. and yes im without my baby for one more day. Hopefully today will be the triumphant return of my dear agnes, and i will be able to stop bumming rides to work! I will keep you all happily posted on this saga/adventure! so until next time, lata gatas!
P.S my toes seriously hurt, note to all those who think they can work on cars flawlessly, flip flops and jacks dont get along, want proof check out my pic folder, i figured everyone should see the beauty of my poor scraped and swollen toes! mmmmm never mind, you really dont want to see them, i tried to take pics, and they dont want to work......just take my word for it....not good
