the jamaican ex-pats that live on the street behind me are, apparently, joyfully un-employed. unapologetically and gleefully unemployed. either that or they work the third shift somewhere, the whole lot of them, and have no need of sleep. instead, they play dominoes and cards on a folding table out on the sidewalk daily, accompanied by ghetto reggae. the kind where some west indian guy is...

it's just beautiful outside. i can't wait to be well again so i can enjoy it. i've been sick since the beginning of march. yup, it's now april 5th. things i can't wait to do:

* sit in the sun and get a tan
* have wine (mojitoes, pina coladas, scotch) on the front porch after work with some friends and neighbors, watching the world...

http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/europe/04/02/vatican.antisemitism/index.html?hpt=Sbin

this infuriates me. how is anti-semitism similar to the disgust we feel for pedophiles? basically, to draw a correlation between the two is to say people who dislike child-rapists are similar to nazis. or, is it more like saying catholics are all pedophiles? i'm not sure. let's take religion out of the equation totally, and look at the 'abuse furor' for what it really...

i was raised catholic and even attended catholic school from grades 4 through 8. i'm no longer a practicing catholic nor even a christian at this point. i stopped going to church in my mid teens and dont regret it one bit. organized religion is virtually always corrupt and this is a full-blown screaming example of the hypocrisy that exists in the vatican. unbelievable.

cranberry juice, and PAY ATTENTION to taking the full course of antibiotics. pneumonia is deadly shit, not to mention miserable - I once had it for three months - months I barely remember.

may you heal quickly and soon!
qdd:
I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope you are better by now or at least getting there. I saw this earlier and then read your blog and had to share. TFLN is a fav of mine smile
(240): I'm home with mono, wearing knee high socks, shorts, a stained old shirt, and a surgical mask. He comes over ANYWAY with soup, a gas mask, billions of DVDs, and eats me out. He's either stupid, whipped, or i'm just THAT good.

love beautiful weather today - i feel like the sun is recharging me like a battery. despite the possibility i have mono. caused by the epstein-barr virus and un-treatable. i say i may have it because i need a blood test for diagnosis. and what is the point of yet another $30 co-pay if there's nothing to do for it anyway? surreal anyhoo, in the last month...

It has been beautiful!! Even here in cold Canada. Co-pays eh? That sucks. I have never paid a cent in my life for any health care. I've always been really confused why Americans are so resistant to a public health care system....but I'm not that bright. wink

i have little fear. i like that about myself, i don't see it as a bad thing. i've been through it all already. so i get really pissed when some random guy comes into my office and tells me i need to be careful, or what am i doing working in such a dangerous place. i work in the downtown area of a small city....
