I hate this recession!!!
I have a really great job. By great, I mean it pays really well. It's an $8.50 starting wage AND my first job. I feel really lucky to have found it when I have friends who are hoping to get jobs at $8.00/hour. But there are a lot of other employees so I don't get as many hours as I need.
And I'm really fucking stressed.
My ultimate dream, the thing that keeps me looking to the future and gets me out of bed every morning, is that I want to move to Washington State. It's been my dream since I was at least a Junior. When I first started to realistically look at it. And it's been three years and I can't seem to get there. And every summer that goes by that I'm not moving, I feel worse.
I'm finally starting college this fall here. My plan is to go here for a year and transfer to a community college out west so that I can keep my tuition costs real low while I establish a state of residency. Because out of state tuition is ungodly expensive.
But I am literally saving every penny from every paycheck and I will barely have enough money to get there by next year. And that is assuming that no unexpected expenses come up in the next 12 months. Which is completely unrealistic.
I don't know how I'm going to make enough money to make my dreams come true in the time that I want them to. I really don't want to have to wait TWO years and end up paying $20,000 a semester for the first year at a university. I'm not sure if I can handle a second job while going to school full time. In fact I'm almost positive I can't. So tell all your friends to vote and comment my sets guys. There are hundreds of SGs out there spending their $500 on more elaborate tattoos and expensive photographers. But there's this sad little 19 year old who wants to make her dreams come true. And getting a set [Or two or three?] accepted would give me some security.
