went to see the G. Love and Special Sauce show at First Avenue last night. Great show! Inspirational. Was a nice mixed age crowd. Garrett was in fine voice, and the band was hot. First Ave is always is fine venue.

Indeed it has been a long time. Seems you and I are never here at the same time.

Hope life is treating you well.

you came and touched me today. I was in the park watching some kids play soccer. It was warm and beautiful and there was no breeze whats so ever. I was watching the kids and I had a thought about you. You must have a been a handful as a little kid. So full of wonder and self adventure. Anyway, there I was thinking of...

I don't know if you'll ever see this. But I never got a chance to respond to this before you left and since SG has made the rather strange choice to now allow comments to inactive member's journals I thought I'd rectify that.

I can't tell you how often I've had a similar experience since she passed away. I've never really believed in anything supernatural or any kind of afterlife. I'm still not sure if I do. But she makes me want to believe. To hope that someday we might meet again.

I hope things find you well. You said once that you felt we were like brothers of a kind. I think you were right. A part of an extraordinary brotherhood. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her. It's nice to know I'm not alone in that.
thejuanupsman:
Happy Holidays. Hope things are well.

Imagine being given a book. A beautiful, provocative book. A very thick book. Seems like a never-ending story. You start reading and soon it's apparent that this is the best story ever written. It's exciting. It's heart-warming. It's sexy. It's dangerous. And it's filled with some of the most beautiful images you've ever seen. You're drawn in and you're completely fulfilled by it. You enjoy...

I'd opt for the second one. Maybe.

The talk helped me too. We should try to do it again.

I can't eat. I can't sleep. My heart hurts more than I ever thought it could.

The peaceful sleep that eluded you for so many years is now yours forever.
I pray for you.

Oh man, I hope it has gotten better for you since this. It's certainly harder than I ever would have expected.

Take care of yourself.
thejuanupsman:
I just read your last testiomonial and had to voice my agreement. Best hugs ever.

The deep pain that is felt at the death of every friendly soul arises from the feeling that there is in every individual something which is inexpressible, peculiar to him alone, and is, therefore, absolutely and irretrievably lost. ~Arthur Schopenhauer

I will miss you so. (kisses...)
comicking:
I won't recover from the lies:

From her obit: "...loved her modeling, her art and writing, being outdoors, pancakes. Survived by husband, _________; loving parents..."

"pancakes" is great.

She never told me she was married, and even went so far as to deny it when I met a guy who claimed to be her husband.

I was falling apart until I checked the Obits today. I will still miss her.

It was a simple date. She's just a girl, right? Movie
and dinner. She met me at the theater. Her hand was
cold when I first touched it, warming quickly. She
looked really great, better than I had seen her
lately.
As we settled into our seats, we made ourselves
comfortable. But I was not comfortable. I was in...

I remember days like that. Do whatever it takes before she, whoever she is, is gone.

I wish I had.

FIVE THINGS I THINK I THINK:

there's no crying in Baseball.
when she says no, it means no.
new shoes should never be worn on a long walk.
garlic mashed potatoes are heavenly.
put the cap back on the toothpaste when you're done.

any questions?
comicking:
3 of the things you think that I must comment on. The rest are right on the money, unless you're broke.

Baseball is boring, there's always crying when you hate watching it but you're not in control of the remote.
When she says no, it means no... unless she means less (there's no man that knows for sure).
mashed potatoes are heavenly when tried prepared a new way. They are less so if the one way is the only way you eat them. Boston Market's potatoes were hesavenly until I tried them prepared another way.

And that's what I think. robot
thejuanupsman:
I remember lots of crying in baseball. But in theory it sounds good.

The rest I pretty muxch agree with.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
