So...
I'm overwhelmed with how amazing life is right now.
Finding someone like my Iggy makes me happy to be alive. He makes me a better person everyday he is in my life.
In just over four days I will be with him on the first real vacation I have taken for myself in five years.
And it came just in time. It will be awhile before I get some time off again because I just got a promotion. Hard work actually does pay off sometimes it seems. Just a few months ago I was sitting across from my boss watching tears roll down his face as I accepted the announcement that my company was doing away with my position and replacing it with a "training program." I either had to be demoted or quit. I chose to stay with my company because I love my coworkers and lets face it, its not the best time to give up a job. I was discouraged at first that I was not chosen as one of the people to stay on in the "training program" (I was an assistant manager), but I didn't let it defeat me. Instead I worked my ass off and helped our store become number one in the entire company. So yesterday I was informed that I will be promoted over the other two individuals originally deemed better suited for the job than me. I will be skipping over a position to step into my own store and a substantial raise. I start one week from Sunday.
and Iggy,
