Alice in Wonderland, Ice-cream floats at Franklin Fountain, new friends, old friends, and dog walks. that's what's on the menu this weekend. If I'm lucky maybe I can ride my bike and take some photos too.

Monday is my blood draw testing for the breast cancer gene. I debated long and hard about whether or not I want to know. It's not a simple decision...

best of luck on the genetic testing. i've been debating the very same issue myself. i agree that it's such a complex and personal decision. have you seen that in the family doc? it's definitely interesting and worth watching regardless of how the testing turns out.

and it sounds like a marvelous weekend you have planned before the blood draw, which is always a good thing!
hedy:
also...i would love to talk to you at some point about being a librarian. it's something i've thought about going to school for for a long time, and for some reason i just can't decide.

I'm doing okay. I was out of work for a while so I had to downsize from a two bedroom pad down to a more sensible and affordable one bedroom. But now that I have things are getting back in order.

The camping trips have been getting better as time goes on. Most people who attend have really begun to appreciate the trip and come to chill instead of party til they puke and it's make for a much better time for everyone.

I'm still down to Philly from time to time. Next visit I'll be sure to let you know and maybe we can grab lunch or something.

I think you are not only a gorgeous woman but YOU are amazing and I'm crazy about you!

the symbol for breast cancer is a pink ribbon. I think it should be a set of brass knuckles. Seriously, fuck pink ribbons..it hurts like hell, chemo blows, then they cut off your tits..really? Brass knuckles for me. Maybe that will be my next tattoo..pink brass knuckles (survivor) because I will get through all this crap and be even more fearless than I was before....

One of the great things about SG is people such as yourself that are evolved enough and have the courage to share their intimate experiences with othersIm certain you will overcome this adversityStay PositiveI admire your Strength

Over heard at a cancer center:
"we can treat cancer, but we just about have to kill you to do it,
and too many people give up just short of the finish line".
There will be rough days ahead, but keep in mind that looking down
at flowers is much more preferable to looking up at their roots.
Hang in there. For what it's worth; my ex is a 5 year survivor, and
a good friends mom made 30 years.

wow SG has changed a lot and definitely not as active. Oh well. I found my old account, I forgot my profile name and well now I have two on here.

I'm moving when I'm done with this whole cancer shit. Where to is the quesiton. Either near the Ocean, back where I grew up, or Arizona. I've had enough of Philly. It was fun...

So funny. I have almost the same story. I was off SG for a couple of years, when I decided to re-join, last summer, I could not remember my old info. Also, I just moved to Philly in July, from New Mexico, and have been looking to head back west since August!

mmmsgs let's see : I think I would consider Norfolk..I'm leaning towards phoenix, Tucson, Austin, some small surfer town or the Jersey Shore. yeah I'm all over the place.
