So I had a pretty good weekend.
Friday was the Two Cow Garage show, and on top of them being a good band the guys in the band were awesome. Micah actually sat down and had a beer with me and we talked about songwriting and stuff. It was pretty much things I already knew and stuff, but being reiterated by a guy who has had an album released on vinyl was pretty awesome. Then went to Wyatt's after the show to hang out for a bit and he had Watership Down, I'd been wanting to watch it for so freaking long so I was quite excited and decided that (probably in my search for a competent artist to do my nimh tattoo) I'm going to get El Ahrairah. Probably on my left forearm, inside.
Saturday woke up at Wyatt's, and then me him and his roommate went to the brewery, then from there went to the freethinkers crawfish boil and, I just can't do crawfish. I tried, I really did, but it just didn't work. Then went home and crashed for a bit (all day drinking was a bit rough). Then Micheal and I went and saw Watchmen (which was really good) with his friend Ally. Then came back to my house and he left and I promptly went to sleep, it was like 2 in the morning, bars were closed, couldn't buy beer. My first sober Saturday night in as far back as I can remember.
Today I was sposed to have practice, but I forgot to email the guy in time. Woke up at 1, went got some groceries, came home and chilled for a bit, then took a Sunday bike ride and took pictures of the Presbyterian church down the block. Walked all over the place. Not religious but it's a gorgeous building. Then down to this park and took some pictures of it and came home. Read a bit in my book, watched some TV, and now here I am... I'm going to try my best to get up early tomorrow and do something energetic... I wish there were more hours in the day!

I love Watership Down. It was my favourite book and film when I was a kid. If you get an El-Ahrairah tat, it will be most awesome (as would one of Lord Frith)
