It was great meeting you, however briefly. Don't feel bad about getting lost, that last road sneaks up on ya. We didn't get to stay very long ourselves before they threw us out and shut down.
I expected to get covered in random things since I was up front. The beer in my hair and the vodka in my cleavage didn't bother me, but the mustard on my pants looked a bit like
, haha. Oh well, I can chalk it up to a life experience I suppose

I don't know if you've met or talked much with Elly. She's works for a health food store and is quite knowledgeable. Her current journal is about a book she's reading on the subject.
And... I have known and worked with lots of RN's. Anybody in that field totally has my intellectual respect. This site is so refreshing to me because of the concentrated intelligence it seems to attract.

I read your post in the group about being veggie/vegan, and I didn't want to derail the thread so I thought I'd comment you.
You don't have to like hummus, or even all veggies, to be healthy as a vegetarian/vegan. You just have to make sure you're getting enough protein and a healthy balance of vitamins. Alternative protein sources are: beans and lentils, whole grains, tofu and other soy products, and meat substitutes. Make the veggies you do like, and check out vegan cookbooks (I highly recommend Vegan Planet by Robin Robertson) for ideas when you're tired of eating the same old thing or for ideas about how to integrate new healthy things into your diet. Also join the veggie group here on SG, there's a recipe thread that I love as well as tips on eating fast food while vegan, etc.
