This morning dawned calm, sunny and cold.....like 4 degrees cold.....YIKES! 
The coldest temp we've seen so far this season.
Over the weekend, I bought an artificial Christmas tree, at the garden center that I used to work at a few years ago. I've always had live trees, but decided that I was tired of messing with the needles, the watering, etc. They've made some great advances in making the fake trees look like real trees. So, I took the plunge with an artificial one that I had really liked back when I worked there. I put it up last night, but didn't get it decorated.I also decided that the mass of tree lights, that I think my very well include some lights from at least 20 years ago and that I have to go through every year to figure out which ones work, and which ones don't, are going in the trash. I bought all new light strings to start over with. I debated on whether to get multicolored or a solid color and decided to go with all white lights.
In other news.....well, there isn't much other news yet today...................so I'll leave this entry open and hope for something more interesting and/or exciting to put into it this afternoon or evening......

Not much to add for the rest of the day........unfortunately! I made a trip into town to run some errands and go the post office. Bought some Christmas stamps for a few cards that I'm going to mail out....I'm not much of a card sender....one of the few points of gracious ettiquite that I didn't inherit from my Mom.
The propane delivery guy was here this afternoon.....for all of you city dwellers, he is the guy who delivers propane gas to put into our storage tanks, so that us country folk can have heat, hot water, dry clothes, etc. If the tanks run dry, you make a call to the propane company and hope that the delivery guy can work you in pretty quick. He had let the tanks that supply gas to my shop run dry. I relit the furnaces after he got here and now I can work in my shop in relative comfort again....I keep my shop at about 50 degress in the winter. Since he was here anyway, I had him top off the tanks that supply the house. Now I can be toasty warm and not worry about the gas for awhile......at least until the bill comes!
I have no idea what's for supper tonight, except that I'm thinking it may be time to dig into the refrigerator and see if I can whittle down some of the left overs that have accumulated over the last few days...
