I had a meeting to go to last night. I was doing a couple of things, right up until time to go and just get there in time for the meeting. So, when I finally get home from the meeting at 9:30, my tummy is really rumbling, since my time management wasn't so great and I had missed supper. Ya know what? Cold fried chicken at 10pm is not so bad!
Despite the exterior gloominess, yesterday turned out to be a fine day. I managed to get a couple of pretty important things done and while grocery shopping, I won ( yes won....in a random drawing kind of way ) a dozen free cookies from the grocery store bakery. Free, huge bakery style cookies!......it doesn't get better than that!
Today will be a trip to Des Moines to take my Mother to a Dr.s' appointment. It is a follow up visit from an appointment just over a month ago. I hope she gets some good news.
It is still gloomy outside....the wind is strong and cold from the north and they are predicting some rain/snow flurries......but my heart is warm and toasty from my contact with all of you yesterday....( insert bright yellow sun emoticon here ).
