Last night, I poured myself a small glass of Knob Creek bourbon and stretched out in my big old leather chair to watch Blazing Saddles on the VCR. For some reason, last night just seemed like the kind of night to watch something completely silly and campy.

I was glad to read an update from Rosemarie last night that her dog Schlorff was doing well after having surgery to remove cancer. Our doggie friends/partners mean so much to us....I must admit to being partial to dogs over all other pets. I read a quote once ( I have no idea where I read it or who said it ) that, " A dog is the only animal that loves you, more than it loves itself." I couldn't agree more. Luckily, I've had great associations with many dogs over the years. I seem to have something of an affinity with dogs. They almost always seem to like me. I've had people tell me that I'm the only one besides themselves that their dog likes. Anyway, I'm glad that Schlorff came through OK and seems to be in good recovery....I'm glad for Rosemarie too....I know she was worried to death and very anxious about the outcome.

Nothing to exciting on my agenda today....pretty much just "stuff".....which is OK, since I tend to go a little crazy if I don't have something to occupy my time during the day. Although I must admit, I wouldn't mind a little excitement of some kind occasionally....I feel like I'm getting stuck in a rut and need something to pull me out of it!
