I'm soooooooo proud of myself! I had only 1 plate full of food at dinner and actually had room for a nice piece of pie! Granted it was 1 heaping plate full....but I didn't go back for seconds, none the less...... 
I had a Hard Rock about 4pm and then another piece of pie about 6:30pm.
Everything went well....my cooking was fabulous...and it was a spectacular day. Everyone got here on time and we spent the afternoon talking, playing games, napping, smiling and laughing. A great Thanksgiving and truly a day to be thankful for.
Of course I have the traditional leftovers that we'll be eating for a couple of days, but that's just fine by me.....some of it is better the second time around. I made 3 quarts of green beans and only a spoonful was left after dinner, so they went over very well. My sister -in-law makes the worlds greatest scalloped corn....which I love....and she left all of it for me to finish .
I guess now we get to start officially start thinking about Xmas. Maybe this year I'll get my ass in gear and get some shopping done before the last couple of days before. I'm no good at shopping. I mean, I do OK at buying the right gifts, I just procrastinate about going shopping and getting it done. Somehow, I need the pressure of "not much time left" to make me go do it and to get it done........Oh well.....

i do the same thing with xmas shopping...it just takes a while for those ideas to percolate, plus the added pressure brings the inspiration. one thing i know for sure, i'm avoiding the stores today like the plague!
