Luckily, the news from the Dr. to my Mother was not all bad and they have more tests to do before they know the whole picture. She's had alot of health problems the last couple of years, but continues to have a positive, upbeat outlook. Such a strong beautiful woman.
I had my cell phone clipped onto my belt as I got out of the car yesterday. The phone hooked on either the seat or the seat belt as I got out and ripped it off of my belt....it hit hard on the concrete and slid under the car. I was just sure that when I crouched down to look under the car, that I'd find it in 100 pieces. I didn't buy the insurance with it, when I bought it last year and thoughts of having to buy a new phone, flashed through my mind. Amazingly, it was not only in one piece, but didn't have a scratch on it! The only damage was to the belt clip carrier and a quick stop at the phone store in Des Moines before we left for home replaced and fixed the problem.
The fall leaves and color are almost all gone now. Everywhere you look there are more bare, leafless trees than ones that have any left with any color on them. The rain and wind that we had last week really took it's toll on the fall color palate.....luckily, I took a few pictures and some of them turned out OK. Fall has always been my favoite time of year....I like everything about it. I'm not sure why, but I always feel more alive in the fall.....
Oh yeah......it's FRIDAY!!!
TGIF everyone...
UPDATE
After reading Maxi's journal and her words about her doggie Jellybean who has some health problems, it made me think about my dog that I lost a few years ago. She lived to be 17 years old and was my best friend for 17 years. She went everywhere with me and did everything with me.....we were quite the team. She was a tremendous bird hunting dog and she would get so excited when I was getting things ready to go hunting that she would actually shake and tremble with excitement, until we got out into the field. She was a Britany/Springer mix. I named her Shotzie ( German for sweetheart ) but never really knew the correct German spelling, so I always just spelled it phonetically. Her hearing was gone, her eyes weren't very good anymore and she suffered a couple of strokes in July of 1991...so at the old age of 17, I had her put to sleep. I still miss her very very much.....

That is a beautiful dog. I am sad that she is no longer with you.
I am so glad that your mom is okay. It sounds like you may have gotten your positive outlook on life and appreciation of things from her.
Kisses to you both,
Rosie the cowgurl.
