It happens every year at this time......
The invasion begins....they find their way in....they come through a door, opened only for a second....they find a crack in the foundation, a crevice, an opening not even visible to the naked eye....
Bugs...
Specifically, box elder bugs and asian beetles. While all the other self respecting creepy crawlies have done the honorable thing and let themselves succomb to the colder temps, these hardy hard shelled home wreckers, decide to seek warmth and shelter inside my cozy home, so to extend their creepy crawly lives. Sprays do little against them.....they defy the modern science of insect control. So, I am left with the daily chore of clearing their dead carcasses from the window sills....apparently life indoors doesn't suit them as well as they think it will when they make their way inside
I am patiently waiting for the sun to come out again one of these days. I have the idea to do some outdoor/fall photography. The last several days of fog, drist ( a cross between drizzle and mist....sometimes mistakenly called mizzle ) and overcast skies has kept the cameras planted firmly in their bags. Sunshine....my Kingdom for some sunshine!
As much as I like my digital camera, I'm also going to be taking some with my 35mm. I have used a High Definition 35mm film in the past with some amazing results.....so I'm hoping I can capture a few good images with it again this year.
Darkness falls early tonight, as the overcast skies hide even the last lingering rays of sun that normally would be trailing off into the west right about now. The time change will come in just over 2 weeks .....I wish they would leave time alone.....I need more time!
Sorry for the "darker" tone of my post today....I am one that can suffer slightly in my mood from a lack of sunshine....let's hope Sol makes his way through the clouds tomorrow and brightens all our days.

actaully the secret is not just sweet pickle juice its Celery seeds, sweet girkins, or rellish, a little cider vinigar, you take the hard boiled eggs , separate the yolks, mash with salt ,pepper and seeds add mayo and mustard or mustard powder, adn vinigar, and pickles, make a sauce then pour over minced celery, eggs, potatoes, and mix,chill
