at deadstone75's suggestion, i have downloaded Ad-Aware and am currently scanning my computer. at this poiny in time i have 351 New critical objects, which is in red writing, so I think thats bad...

after a final number of 569 hazardous files deleted, my page upload time is from about 15 second down to maybe 12-13.
