managed to get to the zoo yesterday

the temp out was wonderful, i had all the time in the world, and with the exception of the fact that i have to deal with motion sickness on the strasse all the way there it was a perfectly lovely day.

i even got to sneak and skritch the ears of a baby donkey thing 'cause two were standing right up at the fence and no one was looking.

caught the sea lion show, that was fun -mostly because of the intelligence and personality they showed not the few tricks the did.

sat in the ape/monkey house, watched and was watched by them while the little birds and rodent-things that run free in there wattled around my seat and feet.

i fed the duckies.

a lovely day. easy sunshine, flowers, little streams and ponds, ducks quacking, prairie dogs peeping, wandering at will and feeling kiddy smiles in my chest and on my face.
