today was a bit of a downer... i'd woke early, planned to pay the phone and go see monkeys at the zoo.
the world conspired against me.
all the atm's were down so i couldn't pay the phone prior to leaving for heidelberg, then the strasse was late... i decided instead to drop by the px then head home as i was suddenly feeling worn down and had a sudden episode in the store & lasting for an hour or so, very weird and intense and unpleasant...
so after spending time reading at home & slowly feeling better i managed to pay the phone (atms working again) and never got to see the monkeys.
bummer. maybe i'll try to get to the zoo tomorrow.
i really would like to go. i've never been to a zoo by myself, i realized shortly ago. always a school trip, with family, with friends, with husband... and nobody enjoys them at the pace i prefer
that being, not enough motion/change to really note as a "pace". more that it's a lack of motion with short interruptions.
basically, i like to sit and watch the giraffes, bears, otters, lions for a good 20+ minutes to an hour or so, all depending.
always bores the hell out of others or i'm unable to fully enjoy it as i feel rushed and shorted.
so by golly i'm going to the zoo on my own and spending a darn 2hrs watching a tiger sleep if i want to!
