webster hall in the eat village is now a landmark. i remember it as another place it was called the ritz. in the 80s it was the primeir place to see great bands along with the club irving place in irving plaza . those two clubs me and friends used to open and close those places. i saw the ramones, motorhead, dead boys, the lords of the new church, anostic front, the godfathers, jesus and marychain, murphy's law, gbh, the specials, dickies, the misfits, jhonny thunders, the lyres, so many bands have graced those two clubs.
