I have an above-average amount of hometown pride. Since I am coincidentally stationed eight miles from where I grew up, I am usually having to defend something about my home. Someone in my unit is always bitching about the weather, the drivers, something.
So, I have applied twice to the SG Seattle group and twice I have not made the cut. I can only guess that I am not active enough on SG. I wish I had the time to do so, but I don't. I am a member of the Autism group, perhaps that may shed light for some as to why my social interactions here are not so much. I consider myself a die-hard SG fan, I kept my memebership active for the whole year I was in Iraq and I was able to log on a handful of times while over there. I have also recruited several people to join.
I love SG and the one thing I've noticed is that people are either friendly and cool or complete snobs, there really is no in between. I have been snubbed by people here, but for those of you who have not, Thanks.

I'm real active now, but it's because my husband is overseas. When he's home, I'm not here much at all. Just because you aren't real active doesn't mean you don't love being part of SG.
