Hello my freaky darlings,

For those of your actually live in the area ( and for those who may have forgotten), it is bike race weekend. It was once a shining orgasmic jewel of the early summer calender, now a mere one off social masterbating ego stroke. But nevertheless, it is a facinating day of sport and has more about the synthesis of man and machine than any other sport.

I, of course, will be essaying the whole weekend like last year. I am hoping that my expectations will be exceeded.
The festivities begin tonight with the Amateur Wall Climb, a 1 km run of the oh-so-dreaded Manayunk Wall. that begins at 6 p.m.

The festivities continue into tomorrow with Manayunk's Second Saturday, which I presume is a rip-off of the first friday tradition. But a great way to snag some free booze and nosh mayhaps?

I will, of course, be at my favorite watering hole that evening The Flat Rock Saloon, listening to my buddy Dave play the guitar. It is also his first anniversary playing at the fine establishment.
I will also take a moment to see the famous Midnight Manayunk Downhill, with possible confrontation. We will see. I'll have my helmet at the ready.

Sunday is of course the lode of the event, the Bike Race, which has had a multitude of officials but we don't care what it is called. It is of course a great day to have a party.

Note: I said party, not druken carousing fiasco. Why the race special for me was the parties. The air of a block party was fantastic. visiting neighbors, talking shop, genial behavior

GOOOOOONNNNEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Replaced by a load of speds from the nearby so-called institutions of higher learning and young turks that surround this corrupt cradle of liberty. So here are a few tips to make the event enjoyable.

1. Have a good time, but don't ruin mine. (Pretty self explanitory.)
2. If you visit, attempt to offer (or even better) actually bring some thing over. (I will be bringing media coverage of the event, so be nice to me.)
3. clean up after yourselves. (this includes you Downhill participants, I enjoy your shenanigans but I don't want to be knee deep in your garbage. )
4. If you do have a party, don't forget to invite your neighbors epecially if they have lived in the yunk longer than you.
5. Go and enjoy the race.

Hope this season finds everyone well, If you need this weekend, call my cell to track me down. If I don't answer means I probably don't like you. HAHAHAHA

See you at the Flat Rock on Saturday,

Bernie
