Alright, I'm back! The membership expiration took me by surprise, and I waited until I got the discount offer email to join back up (Thankfully it didn't take too long). I realized how much I missed it this time, in the past I've been ok without being on the site for a couple weeks, or even a couple months, but in the past couple months I had been checking in daily. I've been talking to quite a few people regularly on here and it's nice to be in an active regional group that I like contributing to.

I think it's great that I'm signing back up on the first day of lent

I'm trying to catch up on sleep lately. NYC city does accommodate a late night lifestyle a little too easily. It's one I shouldn't be taking on quite yet, as work is still regularly wiping me out as I get used to the schedule. It's been a great five days though, my wife's OSO from KC came up for four days and we alternated between late nights out and movie nights in. Good times.

Fat Tuesday was fun as well, went to a bar with a ship (almost piratey) theme for hurricanes and absinthe, though it didn't live up to my usual standards for the holiday. I think the cheaper liquor prices back home may have something to do with that. A HURRICANE SHOULD BE SERVED IN A FULL SIZE HURRICANE GLASS!!! New York, you've twice disappointed me in this category.
