I'm back and for good this time...my head feels like a damp sponge and my neck feels like a strand of spaghetti. But it's good to be home!

So many things to talk about, so I will just touch on them all for now *touches*:

1) Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I know I have alot to be thankful for. I'm especially thankful right now that of all the days I was home (two out of thirty-something), I just happened to be home when Odette's set went up...early XMas for me! PS - please stop giving me morning wood, I chafe easy.

2) Happy B-Days!
Happy B-Day Ayres and Laputa! And also to anyone else on my list whom I may have missed while gone.

3) WoW
I just picked up World Of Warcraft. I will be installing it this evening!!

4) Comics News
It turns out Roman Dirge (of Lenore fame) is a member in my Manga USA group! Also, recently the owner of Golden Apple passed away. Golden Apple is probably the most famous comic store this side of the world. My company may be making a play to acquire...Shh! Tell no one...

5) Deleted Groups
I recently found one of my groups deleted on SG and some others have been "cleansed" as well. My take on this is that I know why it's happening and I'm willing to sacrifice for the greater good. Bye bye, Meat Eaters group, it was a miracle you were ever born to begin with...but you were too belligerent to stay.

I have some good ideas for some new groups myself, but I think I will wait for warmer waters.

6) Grays and Blacks
No, I'm not talking about the movie "Glory". Alot of people on my friends list have been going grey or black on SG lately. My take on this is I'm going to stick it out. Real change only happens if you work within the system.

7) Harvest Moon SNES
I survived Florida and China by playing this game non-stop during hotel downtimes. I love it, especially the happy cows!

8)China
I brought back a ton of photos from China, both Beijing and Shenzhen. It will take time to process all this stuff. If anyone has any specific questions about my visit to China, please feel free to ask. In the meantime, it will take me a couple of weeks to process all the photos, upload them and then comment on them. I have alot of takes on China...the one take I want to leave you all with is that China is a great place to vacation at, if you a from the US, Canada or Europe.

In the meantime, I have created a new way of Chinese-to-English writing system that I want to share with maike and legionnaire, and anyone else who might be curious.

9)Florida
I have some photos of from here too. Same as the China photos, it will take me some time to sort this all out.

10)The Election
After weighing all the pros and cons, I am very happy with the election results. More people voted and the candidate that should have won did so and did in a very decisive manner. The one disturbing thing is, as an atheist, I am bothered by just how influenced the election was by the Christian voters. I used to think the Republican party just needed to be reformed; now I know that the GOP caters to the religious special interests because it wins them elections. This fact is in accordance with my theories on cause and effect but it disturbs me nonetheless.

11) Chinese DVDs
I bought a ton of DVD movies while in China. The bootlegs there come in nice boxes and are pressed (not burned), all for the average price of US$1.50. ! Some worked and some did not, but I will clean up the ones that didn't work with the software on my comp. I especially liked buying rare Criterion movies for $3 instead of $50 to $500 on eBay. I also picked up a sick 25 DVD box set of every movie Chow Yun Fat ever starred in...for US$30. It was especially fun when I was explaining what it box was to the guy at US Customs...his answer was "that's cool!". keke!

12) SG Stuff
Alot of people on my friends list have changed their names in the time I was gone. It will take me some time to figure out who is who. Also, I will begin commenting on your journals after Thanksgiving, when I feel better hopefully. smile

13) Lawry's...one more time
I'm heading out to Lawry's with my pal Jeff, whom I owe a big favor. Anyone else want to come? Just keep keep in mind to bring $60 or so biggrin We will head out there around first week of December. I'll post the exact date and make a reservation. All local LA and OC SGs are welcome. smile

That's all for now...I will keep adding stuff as I remember.

Any recommendations for some good, new titles? I've lost track of Grant Morrison again. Ex-Machina is starting to shape up... surreal
