This afternoon I went to a big used book store in the 'burbs with one goal in mind: find a good copy of MOBY DICK. What did I find in the classics section? Half a shelf of BILLY BUDD. Instead, I bought nice copies of A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES and CRYING OF LOT 49, both of which I have been meaning to read for years.

it's so funny you say that, cuz I used to think I was REALLY good at singing "Love My Way", but nowadays I sound like a dying 95-year-old man trying to sing it.

Do they put Bob Dylan into any karaoke lists? I might be able to get away with that... or "House of the Rising Sun". I think that's low enough for me...

There's lots of Dylan, but so far no one has dared try any of his songs. I'd like to do "Subterranean Homesick Blues" if I ever can work up the lung power.

i personally think that it's a wonderful thing that most people, if you asked them, wouldn't remember that she was responsible for the locomotion back in the '80s...i also think it's wonderful that she's done work with nick cave...haha. good luck at your roommate's birthday party. i'll let you know how my dj-ing duties go and what gets the people movin'.
