well, i found a place to live down in clifton, but unfortunately not with my girlfriend. seeing as how the job market blows goats (i have proof), she wasn't able to find something full time and is just going to stay at home for the time being. oh well. it doesn't mean i won't still get to see her all of the time.

anyway, this...

i remember seeing nixon on mythbusters, she had an SG shirt on too.

i'm buying the new computer this week, and it should ship within a week to a week and a half or so. so plenty of time to unload the old one - thats about 2 weeks away.

good luck with the working at home, hope the distractions dont get to you too much.

finding a new apartment is a pain in my ass. when the price is right and the size is nice, they don't take pets. when they take pets, the place is too expensive, too small, too shitty, whatever. there's no middle ground. and now, as it stands, i've got all of about 2 1/2 weeks to find a place before i get kicked out of...

exams in general really suck. id rather just not have to go though another three years of them, but ive got to do what ive got to do.

apartment hunting in general sucks, youve got to get a whole lot of possibilities lined up and then go through them one by one. still only one thing to do and that's to keep looking. reminds me of someone i know from this site - she saw an apartment ad randomly in the paper one day, and it turned out to be a really good place so she ended up moving to that place.

weekend movie recap:

jason goes to hell
nevermind the fact that this is the SECOND friday the 13th movie to claim that it's the "final" and lie about it, i just have a hard time hating anything that that big, hulking lug jason is in. unfortunately, the story is horrible (jason had a sister? he body-hops?), the acting is just as bad, and the kills...

she-man/sins of rachel
ah, incest, homosexuality, blackmail, jazz music, murder, and gender-bending. thank you, something weird, for making our lives better by offering us cinematic bizarreness. now if only said bizarreness was regularly better in practice than it is in theory.

anyway, she-man is the story of army lieutenant albert rose (played by leslie marlowe) being blackmailed by dominita (dorian wayne). see, albert was...

evil breed: the legend of samhain
i try to keep an open mind when it comes to low-budget horror, since most horror is by nature low-budget, and if i didn't at least give the cheap stuff a chance, i would have missed out on some pretty good movies (like 2001 maniacs, pervert!,may, freak out, and abominable).

however, for every...

lifeforce
great 80s cheese, featuring nude space vampires, over-the-top acting, awesome practical effects and steve railsback reluctantly kissing captain jean luc picard. it is a little long though.... directed by tobe hooper and written by dan o'bannon.

masters of horror: pelts

watched center of the world tonight. it was shot on low-quality dv--or what was likely high quality at the time (it's from 2001)--and because of the lighting it was incredibly grainy at times. i recognize that this is a rather minor complaint (some of the other movies that i watch are shot on regular video for chrissakes), but the story just didn't enthrall me. i...
