Editors: persons who edit material for publication, and a fairly recent development in my life; one I'm trying hard to come to terms with. I'm used to self-editing.
I send copy to a Real Estate agent regularly, generally weekly, sometimes more frequently. So far the guy I write for has extensively 'edited' all but one of my submissions.
I also have two articles being considered by a University publication. I just received an initial edit of one, complete with suggestions for further changes.
Now, I understand the need for editing, and the benefit of having an impartial person, who can view the work critically, be involved. And I'm perfectly happy to have changes (for the better) made to my work.
But if I think my original is better than the edit, does that make me a prima donna?
