Nothing new is heralded as the next great revolution any more. The days of the haranguing hawker, the street-corner caller and the town-crier are all lost. Change, today, approaches quietly and stealthily, while your attention is elsewhere, insinuating itself so gently into your consciousness, that you're barely aware that any change has occurred.
Then one day, you have a moment when you seem to see your life from an impossible, detached, third-person perspective, and the changes wrought by the world spring into vivid contrast. These moments slap you in the face like a jealous lover, leaving you stunned and changing your perspective forever.
Imagine if the whole world had one.
This is something I sat down and wrote today, out of the blue. I have only the vaguest idea of where it will take me. But I'm very much looking forward to the trip!
