You left without saying goodbye
Although I'm sure you tried
You call the house from time to time
To make sure we're alive
But you weren't there
Right when I needed you the most
And now I dream about it
How it's so bad, it's so bad
Father's hands are lined with guilt
For tearing us apart
Guess it turned out in the end
Just look at where we are
We made it out, we still got clothing on our backs
And now I scream about it
How it's so bad, it's so bad,
so bad, so bad
It's too bad, it's too bad
Too late, so wrong, so long
It's too bad that we had no time to rewind
Let's walk, let's talk
Let's talk
These lyrics have been haunting me since the NB show. They made me think about my father. He left us to go find himself, and just when he'd sorted his shit out, cancer took him away for good.
But ce se ra, se ra. As I told a friend recently; life sucks...nurse a grudge.
On a lighter note; I just Googled "ce se ra, se ra" to make sure I had it right. The ONLY result that came back was Inocencia's journal. I shit you not. Go try it.
Which sums us up, really - he's dover; I'm venice.
How was your relationship with your father before he died?
