Last night was every baseball/softball playing fools dream...

We won our first game by mercy rule. The 2nd game they had us beat pretty good but they let us pick up a few runs here and few runs there. We got down to what was called the last inning due to darkness. It's our half and we're down by 5 runs with probably the least likely players to get on base. First guy gets on, the next girl walks, the next guy gets a single but no runs, next girl gets a double and brings in 2. An out followed by an infield single and another out or something like that. I'm up and it's bases loaded, 2 outs, and we're down by 2 with no more innings to play. First pitch - ball, 2nd pitch ball and they were so close but I decided to let them go because I flew out the last two times up. The 3rd pitch ball and the crowd goes wild! In softball if you walk a guy he gets 2 bases and add to it that if there are 2 outs then the girl behind him can take first or bat if she chooses. The guy behind her popped out and we ended in a tie. Silly season has come upon us. I've played 4 or 5 seasons with this team and never tied. This year we have two already! Weird thing but it was all good because I got the limelight for taking the walk instead of being the egotistical man stud and trying to win the game with one swing!
