I was poking around the groups a little bit and I've noticed I've never done a blog homework, I always thought i caught it too late, or i just didn't know what to say on the topic.
However, this week @missy @rambo @lyxzen gave a really good topic i thought.
"What is something you wished you would have known sooner?"
This is an interesting topic for me i think. If there is one thing i wish i would have known sooner, Would honestly be how to make time for yourself.
When i was 16, I was pregnant with my first daughter, Emancipated, and getting ready to marry my high school sweetheart. I was a junior in High school, and my life no longer became about me. I was a mom and married by 17, I played the role of a stay at home mommy for years, I revolved my entire life around my daughters and my husband, I often forgot about myself. During that time, I was dwindling down into a strong depression, that eventually led to weight gain and unhappy thoughts. I was locked into a marriage that was slowly having the flames dwindle. We weren't happy for a long time together, tearing me down, mentally and physically. It was an unhealthy. But when you have lives depending on you, you do your best to make the most out of every situation.
Its hard to make time for yourself when you've got little ones who need the world from you, and a family to take care of. Sometimes you forget that your important too.
It wasn't until i left my husband, and our unhealthy marriage and was on my own that i finally learned to start taking care of myself. Eating right, Trying to surround myself with good people, and making sure that even though I believed others needs came first, that i at least tended to some of my own.
I'm getting better at it now. It took a long time, But I'm working on it.
